1. Hardness
Hardness is one of the important parameters of bearing quality, which has a direct impact on contact fatigue strength, wear resistance and elastic limit. The hardness of the bearing in use should generally reach HRC61 ~ 65, so the bearing can obtain higher contact fatigue strength and wear resistance.
2. Anti-corrosion Performance
In order to prevent bearing parts and finished products from being corroded and rusted during processing and storage, the bearings should have good anti-rust properties.
3. Lubrication Performance
Bearing lubrication can reduce internal friction and wear, prevent burning and sticking; extend bearings’ service life; discharge frictional heat and cooling, prevent the bearing from overheating, prevent the aging of the lubricant itself; also prevent foreign matter from intruding into the bearing, or prevent rust and corrosion, etc.
4.Wear Resistance
When the bearing is in operation, not only rolling friction but also sliding friction occurs between the ring, rolling element and cage, so that the bearing parts are constantly worn out. In order to reduce the wear of bearing parts, maintain the accuracy and stability of the bearing, and extend the service life, the bearing should have good wear resistance
5.Contact Fatigue Strength
The bearing is prone to fatigue damage under the action of cyclic load, that is, cracking and flaking, which is the main form of damage to the bearing. Therefore, in order to increase the service life of the bearing, the bearing must have a high contact fatigue strength.
6.Processing Performance
In the production process of bearing parts, there are many cold and hot processing procedures. In order to meet the requirements of large quantities, high efficiency and high quality, the bearings should have good processing performance. For example, cold and hot forming performance, cutting performance, hardenability, etc.
